Nutrition & wellness consultations

My practice is rooted in treating the whole person. Food is fundamental to great health, and I strongly believe that food is medicine. I also use herbs and supplements for specific conditions to help with healing and to replenish the body. Here's what I work on and how our visits work.

How I can help

If you see yourself in more than one of these, that's okay. We'll start with what matters most to you.

Gut health

When your gut is unhappy, it's hard to think about anything else, so that's often where we start.

  • IBS (diarrhea, constipation, or both)
  • SIBO and SIFO
  • Reflux and bloating
  • Food sensitivities
  • Stomach side effects from a GLP‑1

Women's health

Food can do a lot to support your hormones through every stage of life.

  • PCOS
  • Fertility and preconception
  • Pregnancy nutrition
  • Perimenopause and menopause
  • Endometriosis

Blood sugar & heart health

I'd like to see how much we can improve your numbers with food first.

  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Insulin resistance
  • Cholesterol and blood lipids
  • Blood pressure
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Thyroid and Hashimoto's

GLP‑1 support

I'm always happy to work alongside your prescriber.

  • Managing side effects
  • Getting enough protein and nutrients when you're not very hungry
  • Tapering off
  • Keeping your progress after you stop

Other concerns I work with

I welcome clients looking to address all types of concerns, including:

  • Digestive complaints
  • Fertility and pregnancy
  • Weight loss
  • Disordered eating
  • Diabetes and blood sugar management
  • Cholesterol and elevated blood lipids
  • Elevated blood pressure
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • PCOS
  • Perimenopause and menopause
  • Thyroid concerns
  • GLP‑1 side effects

Don't see your concern here? Send me a message. It's likely we can work together, and if not, I'll happily point you to someone who can.

How our visits work

Everyone starts with a 60-minute initial consultation. We'll meet virtually through HIPAA-compliant video conferencing to ensure your privacy.

Initial consultation

A 60-minute session to share your health history, concerns, and ask questions. Together we'll make a plan to reach your goals. You'll complete an intake questionnaire before we meet, to give you a chance to write down your health history and topics you'd like to discuss. Sending it in advance gives me time to think of questions to ask you, so our time together is more impactful.

Follow-up consultations

Based on your needs, we'll set up follow-up appointments to assess progress, talk about nutrition topics important to you, modify the plan, and set new goals.

I recommend setting aside 60 minutes for the first two appointments. This allows ample time to capture your health history, answer questions, and set meaningful and achievable goals together. Third and later appointments are 30 minutes.

Using insurance

Blue Cross Blue Shield CareFirst

I'm in‑network with Blue Cross Blue Shield CareFirst and will verify your benefits before our consultation. What you pay depends on your plan.

If you're not in‑network

These are my cash rates: $150 for 60 minutes and $75 for 30 minutes.

I can provide a superbill for you to request reimbursement from your insurance, however there is no guarantee of payment.
